Apex Trail Colorado
Apex off road trail is located just west of highway 119 north of Blackhawk. This trail is normally run from Rollinsville side to the Blackhawk side but since we new we wouldn't make the whole trail in the snow we decide to run it in the other direction. We entered the trail just north of Blackhawk at the Apex Road (county road 4) intersection of 119. It was a nice day and there was no snow in the forecast.
After turning left on Apex Road we pulled over to air down.
We drove down Apex Road till we found the fresh powder.
No need to wait around Mark n Sherri head up the trail in their Rubicon.

Hey this is fun no problem breaking the trail.
Well maybe a little problem. Looks like Mark n Sherri are high centered.
Just need a little tug from Roy.
Finally breaking out of the snow drift and making it to the top.
Might as well take advantage of the garage and watch everyone else come up.
Roy following up without any problem.
Ken brings it right up.
Dan's right there too.
Roy decides to keep going. He actually did pretty good until he hit a big snow drift that high centered him and we had to tug him back a little.
After watching Roy and scouting around a little we decided this was as far as we where going to go and decided to head back down. This was a fun short trip and we had no breakage or damage to any vehicles so all was good.
